The auto elec is stumped. The only code is: ECU mute - 000. No codes beginning with p and no codes for abs fault!! I'd guess he's using a generic OBD reader - Lexia or Diagbox is needed to read the PSA specific codes. The nearest I can guess is "U1000 - The engine ECU does not communicate any longer on the system." Note - it is a guess. Hi
4.) MAF Sensor - A MAF sensor that causes the ECM to sense a lower than normal airflow will cause the system to go lean. Disconnect the MAF sensor. If the lean condition is gone then replace the MAF sensor. 5.) Vacuum leaks can cause a lean condition and/or possibly a high idle. Check for cracked hoses a bad gasket or a faulty EGR or PCV Valve.

The voltage should be between 13.5 and 14.8 volts with the engine running. Switch on the accessories in your C4, for example, headlights, AC fan at full speed, and interior lights. The voltage should remain around 14 volts. If it drops and remain below 13.5 volts, it indicates a problem with the current supply from the alternator. Re: C4 Parking System Fault. by GiveMeABreak » Thu Apr 28, 2022 3:00 pm. That isn't going to help! The parking assistance ECU does a self-check each time the vehicle is started. By disconnecting the sensors you have basically created more faults. Try my touch test as you have referred to, but otherwise you need a decent diagnostic system like If it does, it’s likely that the MAF needs cleaning. Remove it from the car, reconnect it, clear the codes and try again. If performance doesn’t improve, it’s likely that the MAF is faulty and needs to be replaced. The mass airflow sensor will be clipped onto a piece of the air ducting. With the engine running, the PCM constantly compares input signals from the CKP and CMP sensors. If CKP input signal voltage is lower than expected under certain circumstances, a P0337 code will be stored and a MIL may be illuminated. Other crankshaft position sensor trouble codes include P0335, P0336, P0338, and P0339.

The first step in troubleshooting a crank sensor is physical inspection. The sensor is at either the front or the back of the crankshaft, so it’s usually located either on the transmission bellhousing or behind the crankshaft pulley. There should be a small air gap, usually about a millimeter or two, between the sensor and the reluctor. The Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor provides an Engine Control Module (ECM) with its primary timing reference signal. The ECM uses it to calculate the engine speed and position for accurate injection control etc. The signal is also used to detect engine speed anomalies from misfires etc. Unsurprisingly, Hall effect CKP sensors use the Hall Citroën C4 Recalls. When a car manufacturer detects a problem with a model they put out a recall notice and more often than not offer to fix the problem free of charge. Wrecking Citroen C4 If he wanted a spare handbrake system, he'd need to remove the left seat, release the handbrake manually and remove the unit and it's cables. Fitting involves recalibration via the factory diagnostic tool. There should be a few at other wreckers in case he just wants to buy a used unit or just a cable.

It points up at the trigger wheel from the 6-o'clock position. You'll see an electrical connector it. It isn't the easiest thing to access in a C4, though. Hi, I have a fault code P0341 which is the camshaft sensor being faulty, however; there is not a camshaft sensor on the 1.6 petrol. Aarrgghhh, anybody got an idea. Oh, I’ve also put a new coil pack and crankshaft sensor on to no avail. 7i8XfK.
